Home owner’s installation and guarantee manual

Congratulations on your purchase of a Duratherm ® Geyser. Only the best materials and technology available have been utilized in the manufacture of your geyser, and the unique polymer lining (PEX) inside the boiler makes this unit maintenance free and suitable for all water types.

Before installation, please ensure that a TP Valve and draincock has been supplied with your unit. The draincock must be fitted to the inlet to drain the geyser in case of element replacement.

A pressure control and relieve valve or a combination comprising of both valves must be purchased separately and installed on the inlet of the geyser. A suitable metallic pipe must be fitted to the relieve valve and led in a continuous downhill direction to an area of discharge. It is normal for the valve to drip from time to time. Please ensure that the discharge pipe is kept free from obstruction at all times.

Please read the following installation instructions carefully as incorrect installation could detrimentally affect the performance and life of your Geyser.

Before installation, select a suitable position to install the geyser, allowing a minimum of 500 mm on the electrical side for future element and/or thermostat replacements. A minimum space of 200 mm must be allowed on top of the geyser to allow access to the TP Valve.
